oh, they will def. open on thanksgiving, but will they delay opening until then to preserve what they lay down this week/end? hmmm, only the SpinMaster knows

With all due respect to Spinmaster, he's a spokesman. The decisions are made elsewhere. It's sort of like the intestine's relationship to the stomach. One is a conduit, the other is the creator.

Hey, at least I didn't use the "- - -clown term". :daffy:

Location
Rutland Town - upper east side!
Website
www.killington.com
I was sitting next to Alex in a meeting today at Mount Snow and we were discussing the opportunities for both Killington and Sunday River opening sometime next week. Although the current forecast looks really, really, good. It looks even better for Killington above 2,500 feet. So we'll just have to wait and see. As it stands now, Alex and I have a friendly beer bet on who will open first!

That may be, but it seems to me that you guys were pretty psyched over at K-zone once Tom and co. agreed to participate. Wonder where you got that idea?  The whole premise behind the ski area challenge was to get Industry folks involved in the community and it's worked out pretty well so far. Tom is the one who communicates Killington's message to us lay people and obviously knows a helluva lot more about what's really going on in the organization than most of us. We've got a number of Industry folks participating here from communication departments, marketing, mountain ops, and even upper management/owners, and their participation is critical to dispel rumors and myths. Hopefully some of the feedback they read here and on other forums is useful to them as well. With that said, we should welcome Tom and other "spokesmans" and not minimize their contributions here and elsewhere just because they might not be the actual decision makers.

We appreciate his input. Any communication is better than none. And, quite frankly, having Tom and Dave on the board has been a positive influence....on them.
