All 3 videos from WMUR I've seen dont have the exact content from when I first saw this story on WMUR.The reporter stated that the lift started moving before they were able to get the bar down. What? That piece has since been edited out.

I think the position of the operator at the lift may have something to do with this. There is an attendant that stands directly in front of the bulkhead, opposite the hut and facing away from the hill so his view uphill would be completely blocked. I guess the thinking here is that if anything is going to happen it's in the loading area. Secondly, while there are normally two or more people in the hut but I don't think there's a window that faces uphill.

The reports all say that this happened while trying to lower the safety bar but not how far up. I would think that it would not take very long to be out of earshot. The boy fell about twenty feet so it couldn't have gotten very far up the hill. That is one thing that bothers me about all the reports - none say WHERE he fell. My other concern since they couldn't have gotten very far is that NOBODY SAW THIS?? Plus the kid was laying there until ski patrol, alerted by the father, got there? Too much information missing.

I think the father waited to long to let the bar down if he even was going to. The first report I heard mentioned mid way up.

at 10years old, having the kid all the way seated may have his legs pointing straight out and skiis pointing up. many factors involved here. i helped load a guy into an ambulance once, drunk and combative - no fun! he turned around to wave at someone and zoooop! out he went. 'bout 45ft and he bounced.

Pointless to speculate. There's obviously a lot of questions here.
