the beast wasn't very beastly this weekend. everything groomed including escapade, north star, ridge run, vertigo, upper wildfire, dreammaker and outer limits (half). excellent skiing nonetheless.

first thing saturday lapped a groomed ol - absolutely perfect. nice warm up. then a couple laps on the fiddle. snow early at least was a little stiff and bump lines made no sense but still big fun. nice not to have to worry about destroying my skis. again the grooming was excellent on wildfire & dreammaker but was really looing bumps. thimble skied way better then it looked from the lift. upper vertigo was ungroomed and still good but lower was ruined. steps & nowhere a bit boney but was surprised at how good skye bits was. gunpow on ovation was very sweet though got caught by a very wet gun near the bottom. other highlights were downdraft and conclusion which had great bumps. snowden trees were excellent.

sunday was more or less a repeat though there were substantial visibility issues at times.

Was Conclusion open to the public all weekend? Were there any kickers on it?

to be honest didn't look at the "course" which was closed to the public when i was on it but pretty sure there were kickers on it. that narrow section under the lift was open to the public.

I was there also Saturday and Sunday of MLK weekend.

Saturday was beautiful, Sunday a little cloudy/windy, low visibility at the tops of the peaks when you got off the lifts. My first trip to Killington though, and it was great, especially staying right in the Sunrise condos.
