Resort or Ski Area: Killington

Conditions: Hardpack, Pack Powder, Powder and gravel
Trip Report:

I skied from 9:30- 2:00. ROTD(2) was Mouse Run and Upper Bunny Buster for the snow quality. No gravel on these runs. Downdraft Headwall was icy bumps but skiable. Rime was skied out as was Upper East Fall. Reason was fine until I hit a sumerged stone and destroyed my freshly sharpened edges. Both pair of skis will need some p-tex. Upper Double Dipper was fine when the race teams were not on it. GN and Lower BB speak for themselves. Mousetrap bumps were a little icy but fun.

I had two releases today though. One on Downdraft Headwall in a compresion that flung me forward. The ski that released came down past me and was airborn. The second was in front of the race building. One ski caught in the wet new snow being made there. Needless to say that must have been funny to watch. Sprained my thumb on that one.

I also got a compliment today. An older gentlemen asked me if I was The Hammer. He said you look and ski like him. I said thanks but I am not him.

Didn't meet up with Andyzee though. He left a note on my FJ though.
