Trip Report
Skied Killington on Thursday where the conditions were suprisingly good. The fact that there were no crowds definetly helped. Friday and Saturday at Cannon were exceptional. When I got back to Killington Saturday night, I spoke to some Kzoners and found that there were a lot of iced up trails on Saturday, so I didn't expect much on Sunday.
Went out Sunday, there were flurries for a good part of the day. Conditions, well I found them to be suprisingly good. Killington seems to have gone all out in making snow the last few days. The snow on lower Skylark was unbelievable, literally Volkswagan size bumps! Panic Button had a fair amount of ice coming through, but coming off Panic Button and onto Needles Eye was nice Needles had good cover. The North Ridge(Glades) area had very good cover. Snow was being blown heavily on Superstar for the last few day, once again, good cover. The Chute was probably my favorite run of the day. Well there were a lot of good ones The only thing that sucked was the fact that I had to leave by about 12:30 out of fear of hitting too much traffic coming back to Joisey and the blizzard of 06. That wasn't bad either, didn't take any longer to get home then normal. Over all it was a great weekend!
