Seriously, that was like 30 turns in only 17 seconds. Boring. Id probably make 1 or 2 in that same distance and cover it in about 3 seconds. Yeehaw!

You only make turns if they are required?

Typically..like if the trail is crowded or there are bumps and obstacles and such..I freaking love straightlining or maybe making 3-5 huge Alaska Style big turns in powder. My Nordica Blowers would be scary to ski on early season east coast conditions since the turn radius is almost 30 meters..but in a wide open powder face...making huge turns is where it's at..the hippity hop slow deliberate turns on smooth snow is something I can do fell but it not my cup of tea..On wide groomers..making big GS and Super-G turns is great in the fresh cord..almost as big of an adrenaline rush as fresh Poe..O.K. I want to ski..

what are you all expecting powder? its mid november man made and its killington

No they were expecting the Signature snow..the chalky manmade..that skis really well..almost like northfacing western hardpack..the stuff they are blowing will hopefully be the base for May turns..yes May turns..I think Killington is going to be open into May this season..a friend of a friend works at the Italian Sandwich shop on the access road and heard from someone wearing a Spyder jacket..and you know those racers are totally legit..

lets hope theyre open till may. Just spin a lift on superstar and ill be there.

Same here..I actually think east coast spring snow is better than west coast spring snow..In the west the base is all natural snow and not as dense..so in warmth..it rots easily and becomes slow and manky..here in the east..the solid dense manmade base becomes soft in the springs warmth but still remains fast..Superstar in May would be great..Spinmaster do you hear me..

no he doesn't. I heard from my friend at the Taco Shop that he was hanging out with this dude in a Spyder jacket that a friend of your friend who works in the Italian Sandwich Shop met.

My friend who wears a Burton shit that sells meth in "Rutvegas" doesn't agree that your friend in the Taco shop knows jack...

The weather is favorable for around the clock snow making through Friday (atleast). Seems like the surface should be decent by Saturday.

Exactly!

That's what they put down last year. It made for some fantastic fall skiing. Killington had set my expectations for a repeat since it was so cold. Other'n Downdraft Headwall that was pretty slick, it was totally edgable manmade hardpack we are all familiar with. I knew some Alpine Zone people were hoping for bumps and it's hard for things like Rime to get bumped up when that's the skiing surface. I was making sure people had their expectations set properly.

I imagine you can run more guns if you chop back some on the air in the mix. Personally, I can deal with it being a little firmer to get more acres open and lay down a base. It sure would be nice to have a repeat on Cascade like last Thanksgiving or Ovation over last Christmas week. That was some of the best manmade surface I've ever experienced.

I agree 100% about the wonders of eastern corn snow and the nastiness of skiing on rotting western snow that's like skiing on the paste I used to eat in first grade. I suffer through the winter for that glorious 2 months^h^h^h^h^h^h^h^h 3 weeks of spring skiing at Killington.
