I see on conditions report that uphill Killington-Pico interconnect trail is open. In addition to valid lift ticket, do I need to buy a $49 Uphill Travel Pass (armband) to ski in the opposite direction, (mostly) downhill from Pico to Killington ?

I am contemplating a trip up there for March 2-5. Weather forecast looks favorable - some rain this week but snow the 22nd through the 28th. What do you think? Need to book lodging ASAP.

Will be plenty of snow, snowmaking still continues at K. If your asking about the weather 2.5 weeks out then your guess is as good as anyone else's.

Yup, there's potential storms in the 10 to 14 day model runs. The again there have been multiple blockbuster storms in the 10 to 14 day model runs this season that became either nothing or total liquid duds. Let's hope that maybe, just maybe one (or more) materialize and give us some good snow events rather than just be something for the weather model geeks to get all excited about for a couple of days before they start screaming in frustration like has happened too often this Winter!!!

Mainly I want assurance that the snow is good now, since it looks like it'll be at least maintained until then (and hopefully increased).

At least on superstar...

Lots of snow on the rest of the supe pod, as well as Snowdon and in the canyon, all three pods should easily make early may with superstar going to memorial day. They are gonna blow a chitload of snow on supe Friday night thru Sunday.

First pic looks like Vagabond trail...it's usually thin cover especially at the bottom where the stream crosses over. Killington should be good late March / early April.

Vagabond faces southeast and is a natural trail. It goes fast. Not the place to judge coverage.

Naturals are getting thin? We haven't had any snow this year, they have been thin all year.

I dont post much. There was only one sensible call if you know mid-southern vt today and that was Killington. Taking into considerations all aspects of snow/wind/pitch/lifts. I had all choices at my disposable. Left Fairfield ct at 430am. have Ikon full indy. Magic is the call everyone thinks (i love magic but just new it wasnt my answer). stratton has 40 inchs. 23 runs in at K hit everything 9-4
