The perfect post. Take that SKI Magazine!Down to just Superstar (5/12/24). Way too many people on the one trail after 9:30 AM. Despite what so many claim, it shows there is a demand for the late season product. My odds for upcoming weeks:
- May 17-19: 95+%
- May 24-27: 80%
- May 31-June 2: 50%
- June 7 or later: less than10%
- Skinning after June 7: 100%
Get there at the bell and you should be okay for an hour or two anyway. Honestly the crowds on the trail get far more annoying than the bumps will. Maybe not so bad on a Friday.I'm not a great bump skier. I mean, I manage, but I'm not crushing them all day at speed. How would I fare if I went on Friday 5/17?
I certainly didn't notice that on Sunday May 12.The big issue is going to be the top. It is narrowing already and its going to break across. We'll see how much they pull up it every night.
There were rocks sticking out on the right and left side of the headwall. The pile on top was significantly smaller than the week beforeI certainly didn't notice that on Sunday May 12.
I watched the whole weekend as it got thinner along the right edge. Rocks were starting to poke through. It looks like a warmish week too. Every year is different.I certainly didn't notice that on Sunday May 12.
$90 for the most snow? IA bargan at any price. The GREAT ONE HUMPTY DUMPTY (Div I skier) would have no problem laying his money down. He also went to Japan!90 dollars for a ticket is just offensive. doesn't matter if it's in August, no amount of novelty can justify that. like ok now you don't get any money at all, guess I'm not skiing killington, boo hoo?
