Memorial day isn't likely but its not impossible, it depends on the weather for the next two months. They've said there going to stay open as long as possible.

The thing that's going to be different this year is the rate of melt on the long sun drenched runout, and that's going to drive the close date.

Yes but the amount of potential walking is going to be in great excess of what it would be on Superstar. They arent out to set any records this year, just provide a temporary acceptable alternative to SS.

There not trying to set records but there not going to close if the trail is skiable. But the runout is still deep I don't think that is the weak point, getting from the triple to nr might be interesting.
