Labor Day Weekend Plans?

So what's everyone up to for the last weekend of the summer? (That have a nice ring to it or what ? )

Me, I'm restricted with what I can do on Saturday, have to take care of my old car. Drop off the title, take the plates and any last belonging etc.... That is in PA and as a result, I'll probably hike somewhere in northwest NJ.

Sunday it's a BBQ over at some friends, try to get a bike ride in before that.

And Monday, no plans, but may hike in the Breakneck Ridge area or bike in Minnewaska.

It looks like I am going to be stuck working a good portion of the holiday weekend. If I can slip away I would love to get out to hampton bays to go to the boardy barn on labor day. Other than that the plan is to get to the local fireman's fair a few nights and try not to work too much.

Painting, building, installing floors.
Probably 15-20 trips to Home Depot, maybe Linen & Thangs. The standard.

I will be trying my hand at pulled pork on Saturday. We are having a few friends over who have yet to meet our new little one.

Sunday and Monday will be a combo of painting, landscaping, and cleaning up the garage.

I might hang out with an ex-girlfriend for the first time in five years...probably some golf..maybe some hiking..definitely getting drunk at least once..plus I have off work Tuesday as well so it's a really long weekend. I kind of want to go to Atlantic City and play in a few poker tournements but I need to conserve my money for ski season..

Friday - Rehearse with Funk Band
Saturday - Attend a wedding onto of Hunter then Play wedding reception and after party with Funk band..
Sunday - sleep off hangover..
Monday - mow the lawn...

Labor Day Weekend Family Fun Fest​

There are alot of ways to celebrate Labor Day. Here at Loon Mountain, we will have a BBQ, family games, and live entertainment, along with all of the other great activities we already offer!!​

and on SUNDAY

1:00 PM Frisbee Throw
2:00 PM Giant Game of "Simon Says"
3:00 PM Hula Hoop Contest (bring your own if you have one)

Anyone do a Boston Butt/Pork Butt/Pork Shoulder on a gas grill? I'm giving it a try on Saturday and could use some advice. I have a smoke box for my gas grill. I also have the option of borrowing a friends small smoker.
