Anyone had one done? I was unlucky enough to have it done Tuesday morning after suffering a very uncomfortable night on Monday.
I went to the hospital ER Monday at 8:30am and was in surgurey by 11:00am. On wednesday night I invited everyone on my floor to come watch the Red Sox game in my room BYOPM(bring your own pain meds). Noone showed . Since they were a noshow I tried to wake the whole floor with clapping, shouting and cheering at every strike, out, hit and run. Finnally I got some nurses to stop by and watch some of the game before they had to move on to thier duties.
So ultimately in this thread I just want to say how much it sucks to be sick or injured. I am only down for a few more days and I'll be back to work and doing the things I normally do. Thank God this diddnt happen in February!!!

How long would the recovery have been if they had to cut you open?

At least the timing's not too bad...get well soon.

My wife had one of the first ones done, at the Mayo Clinic.

I still have all my parts.

Get better. Hospitals suck for boredom.

Susw, that's a drag. Good that yhey were able to do it in a minimally invasive manor. Tha Abdomen is kinda like a Ford, the more you take it apart, the less it wants to go back together the same way.

Follow any PT recommdations carefully, get your core back in good shape for ski season.

Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Like a good friend of mine says, "If you're looking for sympathy you can find it between sh!t and syphyllis in the dictionary."
I went down to my social club this afternoon out of cabin fever and dominated on the pool tables against some incredible players 8) . Nobody felt very bad for me after that  .
