LINCOLN, New Hampshire — New Hampshire's Loon Mountain, Waterville Valley and Cranmore Mountain announce their new Learn to Turn Promotion. Over the weekends of January 7 and 8, and March 25 and 26, the three resorts will offer its beginner package for $39 per person, saving beginners 50% on their first day. The package is good for the Learn to Ski or Learn to Ride program and includes a beginner lift ticket, lesson, and equipment for the day. Waterville Valley and Cranmore Mountain will kick off its season with a bonus early season Learn to Turn on December 17 and 18.
Each resort offers a unique, but similar first-time package. At Loon, first-timers 7 years and older can sign up for the Take 3, Ski/Ride Free. At Cranmore, the Three, then Free is for beginners 13 and older. And at Waterville Valley the award-winning Snow Country Passport Program is offered to those ages 7 and older. Participants learn on the best equipment provided by Burton Snowboards, K2, Dynastar and Salomon.
Each program rewards beginners with a season's pass good for the rest of the season after 3 days of lessons and a fourth day of skiing or riding. Perks and benefits like free lunch, free goggles and discounts on equipment are part of each program.
"We've seen success with retaining and converting beginners once we get them in our beginner programs," said Peter Weber, Director of Snowsports at Waterville Valley. "I'm excited about this promotion because we are specifically targeting first-time skier and snowboarders and reaching out to those who may not be familiar with our resorts.
