I'm looking to buy some tix on Liftopia. If a given day is listed as $36.95 is that what you pay or is there fees on top of that rate? I recently bought some tix from a 3rd party place and was charged additional fees at check out. It was only a few bucks but I'm curious if Liftopia does the same. Also do you pick the tix up at the ski area in most cases?

IIRC there are no additional fees and you need to show up at the ski area with the credit card you used and you get the ticket. I've used them twice (Ragged and Gunstock) and it went very smoothly both times.

I purchased a ticket for Pats Peak for tomorrow off of Liftopia last night. There are no additional fees. The price on the screen is what you pay, in this case $28.99.

You print out the confirmation page after purchase and bring that to the ticket counter at the resort to exchange for your day ticket.

I have used them a few times and they have been great. Although the last time I used Liftopia I got screwed by the weather. The Monday after Christmas when we had the storm I had bought a day at Bolton Valley. Because of the wind they only had their t-bar or rope tow (what ever the Mighty Mite is) running so I wasn't driving the 2 hours to ride that. I know their rules but it still sucked. I emailed them and asked at the mountain if I could use it a different day at Bolton but the rules are the rules. I even said I would pay the difference if there was one. Anyway I am not pissed but...

Yeah, that does suck. I try not to buy until a day or two before. They do let you know when the last day to buy is and also let you know when they're running low. So it's pretty safe to wait, especially if you check everyday. Of course when they run a special you might have to buy way in advance. I did pick up a couple Gunstock tickets way in advance for $7 each. Turned out to be a nice day, but if it didn't work out I'd only be out $14 so who cares. But laying down $25+ too far in advance isn't something I'd go for.

I have only bought through Liftopia day before I plan to go somewhere due to this issue. Glad it is an option. Locking yourself into specific days in advanced is why Liftopia works well for ski areas. If everyone sniped Liftopia at the last second like I do, I doubt ski areas would want to use it as much.

I've purchased tickets through Liftopia a few times and has always worked well showing the printout confirmation.
Question though: Has anyone ever showed the mtn the confirmation on their cell phone?
Or, as others have referenced here, can they look it up per your Credit Card?

I typically do most of my shopping online while at work and print out. However, if I'm sitting at home on a Friday night, find a good deal on Liftopia, can I still buy and show them my phone or CC?

I don't have a printer at the house which is why I'm wondering.
I didn't see anything on the Liftopia FAQ page mentioning this.

A lot of them you don't need the print out. They have a record of you. Some they say printer needed.

Also I usually wait to the last day as well but it was down to the last couple left at that price and I rolled the dice and lost.

Hey guys,

Thanks to everyone for using and/or checking out Liftopia. Some resorts do require a printout for redemption, but that will be very clear up front with a "printer required" icon ahead of purchase. Otherwise, you may use your ID and/or your confirmation on your phone.

Hope this helps!
