Roll Call – ex. “Who’s skiing this weekend”.
Seeking info- ex.“Where’s the best place to stay at Stowe”.
Story Time –ex. “This past weekend At Sugarbush……”.
Editorials – ex. “I like to get first chair” and here’s why.
Trip Reports – no need for example.
Fluff, but fun – ex. Thread takes a turn for good natured ribbing and stays there. Like the Marc goat stuff.
Flame - heated debate, doesn’t happen much here, but when it does it can be good.

These are mine:

Editorials – I love to write them and see where they go.
Flame – I like to debate
Seeking info – I like to learn from others knowledge and share my own
Trip Reports – If I’ve been there or hope to go someday.
Story time – often interesting
Fluff – can be funny for a while, but I get bored with it
Roll Call – I like the fact that everyone can participate, but it just seems like sorta a waste of time. If the title is "Who’s skiing?" I guess people are jazzed cause they are and want to chim in, but who really reads it?. JMO. It’s all good though and they are popular.

LOL story time.....

thanks for the laugh. I dont know why but that cracked me up.

Trip Reports #1 for me. I waste a boatload of time on Mondays reading through almost everything and anywhere people have gone over the weekend. Used to try to respond to as many as possible but it sounds rather stupid saying "nice report" 50 times a day.

Flame sorry but its a guilty pleasure.

Editorials hpd, you do come up with some good stuff.

story time. some are pretty entertaining.

after that i dont really know. I tend to stay away from the roll call type threads.

Depends entirely on the quality of the content. All of these types of threads can be a total snooze fest or something worth posting and replying to. The most universal topics tend to get the most responses but I think everyone here knows how I feel about the quantity versus quality debate.... :D

I'm pretty much with you here, but I like the roll call threads. HPD brings up a good point. How many of us just post in those threads without even reading what anyone else wrote? Never thought about it that way. I start a lot of roll call type threads in the summer (where are you skiing this year?, any big trips?, etc.) TRs are far and away my favorite though, especially TRs by groups of AZers. I know many of you probably gag on the Sundown-specific threads, but sorry - I ain't stopping those....

I like Killington threads.

They're endless and reincarnate themselves every year.

And they're full of true passion.

Love 'em.
