Hey all. I'm thinking of heading north next weekend the 28th and 29th. We are having quite a bit of rain in the south and im not sure how the resorts are holding up. Id like to do a full day at whatever mountain has the most available terrain with the most decent conditions. If everything is just icy I may reconsider my options or go to VT. Is there still some winter left at cannon, Breton woods, wildcat or attitash? Any help is appreciated and i realize I can look at the sites but I wanted to get a feel of the situation.

head north

Jay is an hour and 25 minutes north of Cannon. the snow is crazy right now and more is forcasted. they usually run great deals this time of year. go ski/on ski /off and the extra time you put in on the ride up and back is saved when you eliminate the drive to the mountain in the morning and the time in the lodge in the morning. you won't be sorry.

For most terrain open and good conditions, Northern Vermont is hard to beat right now. Once the weather warms and the snow corns up, Cannon should sensational and other NH areas will be good. The snow cover is phenomenal and base is deep in NH... really great snow year for NH. But things are pretty solid right now following the last rain/freeze and the continued cold. For this weekend, Northern Vermont will still offer the best skiing but look for some sensational Spring Skiing in NH the following weekend if the temperatures warm.
