Date(s) Skied: 02/23/2013

Resort or Ski Area: Loon Mountain, NH

Conditions: Packed Powder, 20s, little to no wind, light snow in PM, low to moderate crowds early

Trip Report: Good morning to early afternoon at Loon. Conditions were nice EC packed powder with some degradation as the day went on. Lines were shorter (5 min wait) and we did go on the Gondola around lunch time, lines then were between 5-10 minutes. Started out about 9:30 but decided to head out about 1:30 because the snow was starting to come down a bit, the crowds were building, and the trails were starting to get skied off.

No attempts at going off groomed for me today, wanted to play around with short turns on the groomed...but the bumps that I saw looked pretty decent.

No pictures, seems like the battery on my camera is having issues.

I like South Peak...two long cruisers and a few steeper trails, no intersections.

Forgot to mention...when I went down Ripsaw there was a guy on a monoski who just charged right down the steepest section, was pretty impressed.
