Loon Mountain – Dec 2, 2007

Weather: Overcast in the High 20°’s in the AM and NO WINDS!

Lifts Operating: – Gondola, North Peak Quad, East Basin & Governors Lodge Handle Tow

Conditions: Groomed hard pack. There was snow making in progress on open and closed trails.

Trails Open: Top to bottom skiing with the gondola doing the heavy lifting with North Peak Quad and East Basin Chair ferrying the peak skiers for Sunset, Lower Walking Boss, Haul Back, Cross Cut, Upper Flying Fox, Upper Picked Rock, Brookway, etc…all in good conditions...

Except for Loon Mountain staff training sessions, the trails North Peak Quad, & East Basin Chair were wide open with good snow along the lower edges of the trails…

Overall, not much more open than last weekend, but better…top to bottom skiing was a breeze…even the Gondola line was fast…

Regarding the South Peak chairs, the horizontal lift is progressing and from the trails, can’t really tell about the vertical lift…
