Frozen granular, very hardpack. Overall, so-so conditions. I had fun because I spent all day on Race City. I had forgotten how to edge!
Maximum lines, lots of posers. Very, very busy.
Resort did best they could 24 hrs after niar event, but the masses packed it down real hard (like bend a nail hard.) Now I know why I am spoiled about weekday skiing.
Due to this, as planned, spent the day running gates. Damn fast. The whole mountain was fast. Only new pow was whatever the guns had time to churn out in 12 hours - maybe an inch or two. most of it was long since pushed away.
Not a day for beginners, but a lot were there, as many came on multi days excursions. Most people were going back Sunday night, so I expect a much thinner crowd for monday and Tuesday.
Not worth taking photos, nothing newsworthy to show. I don't think I'll be going back until they have at least 6-10" more after a niar event.
That's all for now. Heading for Southern VT Monday in search of some pow...
