Decided to bring the camera out today for a mini powder day. crowds were light and the snow came down pretty good all day. My picture taking skills suck, as do my computer skills but here you go.

I love skiing down the tunnel face and watching the cars backed up en-route to Summit County. I was actually planning on Winter Park today but Berthoud Pass was closed as was I-70 past Copper, Loveland Pass and Vail Pass. I thought It was only going to snow a couple inches, nice to be wrong.

It always amazed me that driving up to the tunnel everything would be fine and just a few miles out on the other end complete blizzard more often than not.

Nice pictures! Some days, I really miss Colorado. Other days, I'm glad to be here. Depends on where the powder is

Looks like Loveland is faring ok for beetlekill compared to the neighbors to the west and the north. Around Dillon/Silverthorn, it's all red. Won't be long and Colorado won't have any tree skiing. Except in the spruces. Hopefully the inevitable wildfires don't damage too much infrastructure in the coming years.

I don't have that pass....maybe next year. I will spring for an A-Basin ticket on the right day-maybe even this Friday if the nice weather comes as forecasted. Breck, Keystone and Vail are too much $$$$$. God I know I've missed out on some good stuff @ Vail this year, I need to get there for sure.

Chair 4 mostly west and east ropes failsafe trees tunnel face (careful). Chair 2 south chutes, eh closer to Tomohawk near the poma. Chair 1 at catwalk trees. The ridge will be where it's at in April I'm sure. Tell me the days you're there and I'll show you the goods personally.
