That's very cool!

And does not look like it will fit in a minivan. Do you have a trailer hitch. One of those 5 x 8 Uhaul trailers should do the trick.

nada. Maybe it will stick out the back. apparently it's not the width of the chair that is a problem, it's the bar across the top, which has stops welded on to prevent sliding.
Or someone else's truck...

Matt told me their is not much time left -the guys that build these are needed for the mountain crew soon :) that's goodness!

If it's just the chair and the top pipe, it should fit....on an angle at the very least. A montana/venture extended or a grand caravan will fit a sheet of 4x8 flat. The chair structure looks to be right around 4 feet wide, therefore it may fit flat or on a slight angle. The pipe is going to be out the back door anyway, so it doen't matter how long it is. If you're trying to move it whole....with the saw horse sides constructed I don't think you're going to fit it in though....

If I had the room and the extra cash, I'd buy one in a heartbeat!

But I'm a college student living in a dorm room......

I'll just have to build one for myself after I graduate. :D

I was "just a college student" with the same hopes and dreams. Have patience and, save up and pray for a spouse tolerant of such frivolities. Or, get the chair before you wed...
Magic says there are "plenty out back." you should be safe!

Hmm, you are right! Is it possibly a faux antique chair from off shore?

Someone said there's plenty 'out back', so that sounds like they were removed from a now defunct lift. Have they decommissioned any double chairs at any point?

The Blue lift, now the Black chair (It's not from that). More likely, the beginner lift. (The lift that ran where the phoenix is going was sold, Beast I think.)

The triple that ran where the Phoenix/Black Chair is going and the beginner lift were both sold. The chairs and pieces in the parking lot are miscellaneous pieces.

I spoke with Matt (yes, the one who took the AZ challenge and promises to respond) on Thursday. Of course it's not the red lift he acknowledge, just painted to match. He wasn't sure where that lift came from (I guess it was before his time) he thinks it might have been from another resort. I guess there is a lot of trading that has gone on in the past. I suppose when you switch owners as much as magic has you lose track of history. It would be fun to know where it came from.

Sno Journal speculated about it last year, perhaps from beginner, perhaps from Stratton, and one writer even did some field work with photos.

Did you pick it up? I'd love to see some pics of it hanging out of your minivan and of course once you have it set up in the yard.

We are still working out details. His guys have to "build" it, and they are getting busy with more important things, like snow! I'd rather be skiing than swinging,so I can wait till next spring if I have to!

The Phoenix/Black Chair came from Stratton. I believe it was the Betwixt chair. The beginner chair was sold. The chairs in the parking lot were brought in by the previous operator (owner's rep - Joe) who bought or salvaged things for spare parts..
