Okay I will finally make it to Magic this Friday with my family. Don't want to jinx it but I heard the area could get up 8" Wed-Thursday. I have a Liftopia ticket for Friday amongst a bunch of other savings so Friday it is even if they do open Thursday. Skiing Flatton Wednesday and Bromley Thursday. Really looking forward to getting to Magic and hope with the snow, ropes will be dropping and I can really hit it. Any regulars gonna be there to show me and the family around?

Magic regulars: will 6-12 inches be enough to open up the trees and other natural trails?
I'm also thinking about heading up for Friday.

I'd go in with 6-12, but it depends how bad it gets pounded. If Burke is any example, it will. There has been so much built up anxiety that the locals really are banging hard on the goods.

But that will be true anywhere in New England about now.

Don't know the skill level of the family, but some of the woods require "technical skiing" as Eric at MRG likes to put it. Plenty of blues and greens as well.

All 3 kids can (and 2 will) ski anything at MRG so we should be good. We'll see i guess

6 would get most trails and low angle woods open. 12 would do the trick on just about everything after this weekend's snow and freeze thaw.
