I may edit this post once before I'm done. I'm still drafting my official fundraising letter.

I'd like to first and foremost thank everyone who gave last year to my Pan Mass Challenge bike ride. It was a great success and I raised about $2000 for the one day ride I did. Total fundraising was around $24 million.

Donors included:

AndyZ
BobR
Ski Resort Observer

There were three others but I only know their real name so I won't post it in case they don't want it disclosed. I apologize. Thanks again to everyone. Also to be fair, Sky made the effort too but the donation came in just a hair too late.

This year it's the big leagues. I'm riding the two day, 190 mile original route from Sturbridge to P-town. I need your help again (make yourself feel good, and hey, tax write off too). I've set a goal of $4000 for myself which is lofty, but attainable.

This is the message I've left on my website:

Welcome to my profile for the 2007 Pan Mass Challenge. Thank you for deciding to donate to this vital fundraiser.

I have set a lofty goal of $4000 dollars this year, but judging by the response I had last year, it should be very attainable.

I'm challenging myself to raise $4000 and ride 190 miles in two days, so I suggest you challenge yourself to give. Give more that what you gave last year. Give twice what you normally do.

I am dedicating my ride this year to the memory of my dear Aunt Brenda who died tragically from this terrible disease in May. She will be greatly missed.

There should be no need for courtesy or modesty in this effort. I will divulge that I've spent $130 of my own money to participate and I am donating $250 to my own ride, in addition to the other expenses associated with fundraising. How much are you willing to give?

Thanks for taking the time to read this and considering donating. If you wish to donate by credit card, visit my site:

Thank you, Jerry (OldsnowboarderME) for the very generous contribution. First of this year. It is much appreciated.

C'mon, I know how much the rest of you blow on skiing every winter (for a good reason, of course). I know some of you can spare some cash here.

Jerry manned up.

One of my friends from home just made a generous donation.

I'm hosting a fundraiser BBQ in July too and invited Lance Armstrong to come. He turned me down, unfortunately.
