OK, we are about mid season here. We got dumped on in Christmas. Then warmed up in January. Then dumped on in February. Prognosis for the rest of the season looks pretty good.

How is your season going so far? Not just days on-slope but quality, etc.

Right where I want to be
I have had good days and great days. No bad days. Also on a rate to get to a new personal high water mark of days skied. I have gotten to 2 new ski areas with a plan to hit 4 more before the end of the season. I would say a good year for me personally so far.

yup..lets see...started the season at K with about 5 trails worth skiing..then Hunter which was pretty good most of the time when the guns where blowing..off to Whistler for 7 days, only got a few inches but it didn't matter..that place is another dimension...pow day at Hunter, best yet, then K for icy moguls..16 days so far but...I don't see much going on for the rest of the month but who knows...time for some more plane trips...

Can't complain. All my days on the hill have been great in their own way, some just with a greater degree of greatness than others. Unless any injury happens, I'll have no problems of meeting my usual seasonal goals of "atleast 40 days and also skiing every day of the week" - Tommorrow will be day #30 for me, and when me and the family go out to Vail/Beavercreek a week from tommorrow for a ski week, I should be able to ski on Thursday, which is the only day of the week that I haven't made turns on this season yet. Plus I've had a blast watching both my kids make solid improvements in their skills this year! :)

Missed the big dumps... for me, Crotched has been "the little mountain that could" this year, providing really, really decent conditions during the January thaw and aftermath.

So far fewer days than last year at this time, but I had a pretty good powder day at Magic last weekend.

I'd give it a C+, mainly due to lack of days. Last year at this time I probably would've given it a solid B. Still plenty of time to increase the grade, and the conditions look favorable moving forward.

I'll give it a B. About 13 trips so far. Had two powder days, and several more with a few fresh inches. All other days the snow makers really stepped it up and created prime groomer conditions. Need more snow for better tree skiing though.

I touch below my expectations for an "average" season. The double thaw in January really sucked. We are going on a month now without many natural trails, on map trees, or off map trees. A few areas are barely holding on though, such as Jay, but overall, we have yet to recover from the January blow torch and conditions still look and feel more like early January than Presidents Week. Still a month and a half of lift serviced to go but this next week BETTER produce!

A for me. I have 16 days in, more than I have skied in a single season in 22 years with at least another 11 days already planned in VT, NH, and Big Sky, MT!

Lost about 30 lbs and am in better shape and thus skiing better than I have in a long, long time.

Hit powder days at Smuggs, Jay & Le Massif between Christmas and New Years...just got back from skiing 6 days in Utah last 3 in pow at Powder Mtn. Utah.

Finally met a woman who loves skiing as much as I do and can hang with me in all kinds of terrain and conditions!

Make that an A++

The season started of slowly, Greek Peak opened one trail in late November, then shut down for a month. Christmas/New Year's was awesome, GP got 28" in a two week span. After that, January sucked, warm and rainy. I committed to skiing with the Summiteers and was almost ready to bail, all I would have had to do is cancel my motel reservation. I got my powder fix at Snow Ridge a week before the Summit. I figured I'd be skiing groomers on my trip to New England, boy was I wrong, Saturday at the Loaf was off the hook. And the best part was, no one from Mass or Conn could get there. It didn't dawn on me how crowded it would be on Sunday until I made my last run on first tracks. I got to the chair, the singles line was long as hell, I looked at the clock hoping I could sneak one more run in, damn, 8:32. A little disappointed Saddleback didn't open on Monday, disappointed again when my GPS routed me through Dixville Notch, and it was puking, no Balsam's ski hill to ski. Then the next day at Cannon was great, but I was looking forward to the spectacular views, hidden by the fog. Let's all pray for a snowy second half, and awesome Spring. I wouldn't mind skiing the back side of the Loaf in late April again, like I did two years ago.

Better then average season for sure for me. A couple great snowy days at New hill for me that I like a lot and might buy a pass for Elk next season. Mt snow X Mas day was very good. Platty 2 times both 1 good day, and one okay at PLatty. Back to Elk got to meet Cornhead , Spring Mountain High, both awesome skiers and awesome times was had. One more day at MountSnow and Gore, gore was great last weekend.

29 days so far, mostly at Hunter. 4 days at K, 2 of them excellent powder days, then last weekend 3 days at the Loaf that were spectacular.

Life is good.
