Again - classic Hunter (post peak) - the 3/30 video report on Facebook shows a pond in back of the snow reporter, which does not exist as of today. Check the live webcams on the second link........

My intel also says that they cancelled pond skimming on Wednesday due to the cold weather. The mountain has done this in the past, which is certainily the right thing to do, just don't make that poor snow reporter tell lies.........

I'm not on facebook. So my only way to cross check the snow report is their webcam.

If the cam is showing rain, well...

...pack a poncho!

Look for brown spots in the woods at the edge of the webcam. Or what the crowd were wearing (or the lack of crowds that tells a story)

Also, check the trip report HERE!

Everyone here knows I am a homer for the river, but I also like to call it straight. Currently, they are advertising on their website, and the paper report I picked up at the resort today, all 135 trails open.

I skied kansas coming out of Jordan, and Oz was roped off (Tin Woodsman, Lost Princess, Eureka, Emerald City), it was a boulder and ice field anyways. Flying monkey had a small entry way as the pipes are exposed and in the air, but it was "open". Of their 135 trails, you have Bim's whim, upper cut, upper goat, none of them lift accessible, as the locke triple wasn't running.

Their claim to being 100% open with all 135 trails needs to be taken with a huge grain of salt. Opening some of those trails is basically, we'll open it for you but you can plainly see what awaits you.

Basically, their report today is a flat out lie. They should be saying we have skiing on 120 trails and it is pretty decent skiing. Be honest about it and build some faith in your customer base. Not sure which ruler they are going to use for the snowfall totals over the weekend....

last big storm we drove for 5hrs from boston(thru the storm) to get fresh pow at sunday river. i decided we should head to jordan so we can play in the glades off lollapalooza, i love it in there. i checked and rechecked the website to make sure that lift was open, no mention of wind holds or delays.....but when we get to the jordan hotel to get tickets theres a handwritten sign saying the lifts not open!, wind hold!(it wasn't very windy, btw).

we ride down from the hotel and nobody is even at the lift, employee wise. after a few minutes they get the other crossover lift going, still nobody at the quad. eventually they get there shit together and open jordan, but it would help if they correctly advertised the lift status, even when i was in the lobby of the hotel they had the quad up as scheduled to run on the tv.

What? I was there today also, I watched them dig it yesterday and it was still there today!! YOU check the webcams. Sunday would be a much better day, just sayin!
They did have pond skimming on Sunday. Not a great crowd, but it was entertaining for sure. They changed the time from 1 to 12 about 11 o'clock. Folks started showing up and it was almost over....

Not sure why but some said it was weather related, but the day just kept getting better and better.........

They are open today, closed Tuesday, may be open Wednesday and then closed again on Thursday. We will see what Friday, Saturday & Sunday bring.........

I don't think anybody beats Greek Peak at spin. Utter disaster that place is.

I was thinking the same thing reading this. From the ski report to their facebook page it is one non stop stream of bs. They constantly lie about their over inflated base depth and trail count. Then there is the mysterious 8% resort fee randomly applied to things. I liked how they advertised: "With the purchase of a $25 night lift ticket, you will receive .50 wings at Trax!" First of all you don't need to buy the ticket to get the wings. And after they add the "resort fee" that is not advertised it is actually a $27 ticket and 54 cent wings. They are loosing pass holders at an alarming rate.

I like the fact that Killington is keeping it real.
2:56 pm 04/07/17--We've had a challenging spell of weather here, skiers and riders, and unfortunately, we're not out of the woods yet. Mixed precipitation that fell overnight coated some upper mountain lifts with ice, which means we have a few lift delays this morning.
