Skied Stratton Sunday after Magic Sat (all bumps) and I gotta say Stratton had some really good bumps. Upper Lift Line, Lower Spruce, Free Fall, Tamarack lift line under the Ursa Chair, and Bear Down were great. Some fun Glade runs too. I hadn't been there in a while and was quite pleased.

Bumps at Stratton??? On a trail other than World Cup??? That's shocking!!!

Glad you caught it on a good weekend Alex!

I really don't know what I'm doing in the bumps yet because I always avoided them. But for some reason I started purposely going into them after the big snow storm a couple of weeks ago. It's fun when they are soft but I don't have the bump skills yet for when they're frozen.

Keep going into them. You will see some nice soft ones at Bromley for sure.

Maybe they can't afford to run the groomers any more:-D Southern Vermont was in its glory this past weekend. Maybe the best I've ever seen outside of a powder day.

Hunter was sick with bumps this past weekend.

Favorite loop was Purna-44-Claire's-Taylors; rinse and repeat.

Big old soft bumps too. Still some goodness in the woods too.

No wonder I had a hard time getting up this morning.

You would have loved Mount Snow this weekend. Chute, Challenger, FreeFall (rare), Jaws, Ripcord, Rollercoaster, Hop, Middle Ex - all huge bumps.

2009-10: The season mogul skiing became cool again. Glad the 2000's are over. May the Twenty-Teens be filled with moguls!

They weren't ALL huge (Rollercoast and Exhibition especially), but they WERE all FANTASTIC. I was sorry I missed Hop, didn't go by until the last run on Sunday. Skied all the other, and they were AWESOME. Can't wait for next weekend!!!!

The bump haters can say what they want, but the bump trails at Sundown have consistently been busy all season. It hasn't been just us mogul nuts either, all sorts of people have been enjoying them. Especially now that they seeded Gunny, it's been the busiest trail on the mountain the last 3 days. Way way way more people using it now that it's bumped up than there ever are when it's groomed flat.

Yep. Sometimes there's a lot of newbie avoidance to do, but it's great seeing everyone out on those bumps. I especially like seeing the families ripping through.

I think the resorts finally figured out there's a market for bumps. Elk has had bump skiing for years and they're great. I skied Blue for the first time this year a few weeks ago and they had a couple of bump runs - one with 2 kickers. Nothing spectacular but a move in the right direction. Belleayre has been great with bumps the last few years which keeps me going back over and over. Even Shawnee, PA had a short run. Areas further North always seemed to have some type of bump action. One reason Sugarbush/MRG is my favorite in the East.
