I want to see a moose so badly! I've been skiing for almost 30 years in New England, CO, WY, B.C. and have never seen a single one of those things.

Yeah, I prefer not to see them because it is usually at night when I am behind the wheel and they are either in the road or right on the side. They're so dark that you can't really see them until it is too late.

And you want to see one? Drive up Route 114 from Lyndonville to Island Pond this spring in the late afternoon/evening and be aware because they will be right by the side of the road going after road salt in the snow.

Just watched the video. Holy shit, that is not normal behavior at all. It is really hungry, really angry, or has brain worm because moose generally stay the hell away from people and don't generally move around in broad daylight.

Haha yeah I do! I know it's just a moose but I feel cheated for never having seen one. Thanks for the tip. I might have to do some hiking over that way this spring!

more likely the moose was pissed that the Slidebrook chair disturbed his nap...

Take that video off of youtube before the state of Vermont sees it and shuts down Sugarbush for being in the middle of a moose habitat!

I understand from a source close to the Mtn. that Mr. Moose was pretty sick. The State and Fed's removed him from the mountain, diagnosed him with Brain Worm and decided that he wouldn't be wandering onto ski slopes ever again. RIP Mr. Moose.

Moose at the Bush and MRG have been regular occurances for years. Bears in the summer as well. In addition to the big Bull at LP, a Cow Moose was sighted over at Mt Ellen as well. If you want to see a moose you have to get up before sunrise as that is when they are most active. Seeing them in the middle of the day is unusual but obviously does happen. BTW, LP is National Forest, Mt Ellen is owned by the Bush so there are diferent MO's as far as dealing with them.

That's too bad, but his behavior was far from the norm.

I stayed in gorham NH and in the morning drove to sugarloaf by RT 16, saw a dozen moose and a herd of deer on the drive, Like TB says they are dark and hard to spot untill you are right on them!!
