Do ski resorts attract more crowds on Saturdays or Sundays?
I'm trying to pick a day for a day-trip.
Thanks.

I hate generalizations, but I'm game. If it's a destination resort, in general, in the northeast, people begin bailing out after lunchtime on Sunday. Get there early on Sunday AM, expect the crush from about ~930 to 1pm. There are many exceptions to this, depends on the resort.

I would also be very careful to checkout what activities or promotions are happening on the mt. that day. that can limit things too.

Saturdays for sure..especially because some people go to church on Sunday or get errands completed before the next workweek.

90% of the time, Saturdays, definitely

edited to add, in addition to the things steeze listed, plenty of people go to the mountains to party, not ski. There is certainly a hangover fall out factor on Sundays more so than Saturdays for sure.

If the weather and conditions are the same on both days, Sunday will usually have less people than Saturday.

At Killington last weekend, it was flipped. Saturday was pretty chilly. It was the start of a holiday week. The people were more visible on Sunday where they were in the base lodges or in the beginner areas at Snowshed and Rams Head on Saturday. On Sunday afternoon, it was brutal coming out of the Snowdon trees on Patsys and Low Rider. It was wall to wall tourons on the connecting trail.

I am constantly amazed at how many skiers dislike the cold.
Abu Dabi here we come!

At Blue mountain the other morning..they were announcing a frostbite warning over the PA system and it was 17 degrees with a light breeze..alot of skiers are wimps.
