Looks like the northern mountains made out pretty good last night with more snow than the 2 inches forecasted.Almost all were reporting anywhere from 6 -10 inches. But it was the very light blower variety so it probably will pack out like the usual 4 inch dump.I'll take it.
Cannon's report:
YEEEEEHAW! There's no need to debate it...winter finally served up the biggest snowfall event of the season! Last night, the wind dialed down, and an easy 6-10 inches of fresh, fluffy, light powder descended on our slopes. Don't let the trail count deceive you - with so much new snow, and thigh-high drifts in places, Patrol will be dropping ropes left & right. We'll update this report as trail openings come in, but there's no need to wait...call in sick, load up your gear, and take your coffee to go. By the time your caffeine buzz wears off, you'll be floating on glistening powder, and feeling like the President-elect of Cannon Mountain!
