Cool, I did that for 16 years, including March 2006, when I picked up Warren from school at 2pm and we where night skiing at Bolton Valley at 8pm, after a 270 mile drive.

Where's my prize?

You get props for exposing Warren to so many ski areas. I hope that my kids get into like me and we can do the same.

I have yet to show Warren the NELSAP website. Considering how sad he is when trails/areas close for the season, permanently closed ski areas would probably make him cry.

Every time we drive past the base of Sunrise Mountain at Killington, I get a half hour of questions as to why it is closed.

He is ski area obsessed.

andyzee has got to be up there...

Trip Report: On our way home from Tuckerman Ravine, we decided to stop at Killington and grill some kielbasy. This is about the half way point going home and makes for a nice rest stop. Well as I'm grilling kielbasy and having a beer, I see the lifts start turning, this gets the adrenaline going! Here's a video:

After skiing tucks he takes a break from driving and hits superstar....Is that dedicated or what??

As I said in another thread (which hopefully inspired this one): Andyzee is the "Most Dedicated Skier in 2006-07" in my book.

Reasons are as follows:

a) driving from NJ to ski Mt. Washington on Memorial Day weekend then going to K to ski what's left;
b) offering to carry his wife's skis up the mountain just so she would accompany him to Tux again; and
c) basically getting on 4 message boards to entice folks to join him on his first Tux trip.

I'm pretty sure that a lot of AZ'ers did a lot this year to stoke their fires for the sport but I can vouch for Andy since I witnessed it personally.

Most Dedicated Skier -- Junior Division will have to be a tie between Bob R's son, Conn R, and Loafer89's son, Warren. I've met Conn R and he's great to blast down the mountain with. Looking forward to skiing with Warren (and Loafer89) someday. I liked the story about Warren getting all sad when trails close. That's a sentiment I can relate to. That's the future of the sport of skiing right there!

Thankx guys I'll let my son know you thought of him. He likes hanging with the gang and being welcomed as a young man. Dedicated skier/.boarder. Many deserve mentions, but don't need it. Salida,Austin, andyzee,JimG,Steve come to mind, They each have something that sets them apart.(personality to go with the turns.), but my choice is Old snowboardeMaine.. He had more passes than some folks had days out.

( side note). Terry would have let the 9 to 5 crowd is days out if not for an injury.. Not to mention is there is and outing he is there. He made serveral and was not even able to ski.

Last side bar. Roark was bit by the bug. He has gone from a weekend warrior to unable to handle his addiction. good Job.
I was on a pretty good pace. I had 31 days in by the last day of Jan. when i hurt my back. I did manage to ski 18 more days with a herniated disc but it finally got so bad that I could barely walk. I am feeling much better now though so watch out next year! I have to make up for lost time! :daffy:

I think it's gotta be AndyZ as well...

2 years ago he seemed like a total gaper... But the dude has risen up from gaperdom to a full fledged Tux skier..
And against total adversity from the "in(old) crowd" at Killington..
AND he's brought his wife along for the ride...

Good on ya!!!

Gets my vote as well. Never seen someone so dedicated in such a short time. I'm trying to convince the wife that we can follow his routine at Killington. She thinks I'm crazy.
Wish I knew he went up to Tux. Would have gone as well. Next year.

Just noticed this post, I'm honored to be mentioned. That was my most memorable day of skiing ever. Surely there's more deserving people than I though, like just about everyone else mentioned in this thread. Not that AndyZee though... ;)
