Decided to take the shorter drive over to Snow rather than K. Arrived at Carinthia just before 8, got to park in the circle :p

First runs down Nitro were very hard pack groomed, like driving on cobblestone. Coverage is getting a little spotty. On the main mountain are many bare spots, quite a few trails closed. Headed over to the north face a little too early- all boilerplate, ice skating on skis. Decided to find the sunny spots for morning skiing. By 10 AM it had softened up nicely and I was skiing in the shade. Clouds rolled in about 11 which was nice, kept it from getting too soft. Was sad to see the bottom of Olympic is almost completely bare. They opened up pdf and plummet mid-day. Pdf is a little rough, but both weren't too bad.

All in all a very enjoyable day. Just hoping for some snow -or at least some sustained colder weather... :snow:

Skied hard, got about 20 runs in and called it a day at about 1.
