Area skied: Mount Snow, V.T.
Date skied: March 16th, 2007 from 10:30am - 2:30pm.
Surface conditions: teeth chattering frozen granular, loose granular, limited packed powder.
My son and I got a late start to the day because the cold weather and snow freeze up did not make me want to rush up to ski this morning.
We started off the day with a ride up the Nitro Express and with Titanium being closed and having large bare spots we skied down Long John/Deer Run to the Grand Summit Express and down Committed which had a plethora of ice cookies and to Snowdance which had more bare areas than snow.
We skied down River Run to inspect the North Face, but Free Fall looked nasty even after being groomed, so we past on it and skied South Bowl/Meadow.
We stopped to warm up and eat lunch at 12:45pm when it started to snow very lightly, but due to the very cold temperature (17F) the snow flakes where tiny and hardly did much to improve the skiing when we stopped at 2:45pm.
