BTW, I picked up both pairs of skis this afternoon from the shop. I also bought myself a new "double" SkiTube to replace the "single" I'm giving my daughter so she has something safe to put her new skis in when she flies out to visit me in UT. You never know, it could snow "early" here too! I'm soooo.....ready.

Welllll.....what kind of boots? (Do you sense desperation here?)

They're entry level Technicas from a few years ago...

Seriously, good luck selling the house. I hope you'll still stop by once and a while once you move...

Yup. Got a phone call from my former roommate. He and friends hiked for four (short) runs at Alta yesterday. Definitely sketchy rock ski conditions, but, it doesn't bring my jealousy levels down any.

See it? I drove through it! :)

Just back from two weeks hiking in Wyoming, including riding the Jackson Hole tram on one of its last days to access some hiking on the back of the Tetons. On the way back to SLC we encountered some serious snowfall going over a pass in UT.
