I was just thinking the same thing. It never ceases to amaze me, snowing trails and grass down below.

I always find the elevation effect so amazing when you dealing with low elevations such as in these pictures. I mean I see snow capped western mountains and I'm like - duh it's colder up there. But here the change over line is so tangible it's a real trip.
