I remember one day every ski season Wachusett would bus kids in from Roxbury and Dorchester and give them free lift tickets and rentals....sounds kind of similar to me

My point wasn't comparing snowboarders to kids from Dorchester. Just that it's silly to just let snowboarders have a day as a "trial run"

Wachusett is a participating location for the Burton Chill ( http://chill.org/our-program/). The participants come from Boston. My son volunteered as an instructor for the six week program few years ago. It was never a day as you described.

My bad. I just remembered it differently when I worked there. But it's been probably 10 years so it might have been different then
