also added a couple blackout days - Jan 1/2.

I might have to skip a Snow pass for the 1st time since I've been back on the EC.

Yes, I think that's due to the days the holidays fall on this year. Christmas is a thursday so I guess they're figuring everyone will be taking the entire following week off? That's fine with me, I'll show up for the weekend of 1/3-1/4 and everyone will have gone home.

Westchester County, NY and a Mountain near you!
I find it odd that they do not offer a true Mt. Snow only pass good at Mt. Snow with no blackout periods. They could price it between the two and I'm sure they'd find a good amount of people (ie. those with kids that have real estate or seasonal rental on or near mtn.) that would grab it since they'll be skiing during holiday periods.

I agree. I have a place at Mount Snow and I hear this alot from others at the mountain. I've heard many say "I only ski mount snow why do I have to get this Noreaster pass when I never ski the other areas?" .
I just get the Classic pass and avoid the holidays, skiing holidays at Mount Snow sucks anyway. This also forces me to ski other areas like Magic and BEast on the blackout dates.

MMM.. should be interesting what the cost of the Granite Pass will be or for just Crotched. This price increase just might be the push I need to make Sunday River my Home...

I hope they don't raise their prices as much. That'd be enough for me to say $@^@^ the family pass and go to Pat's Peak for the family next year. And THAT would suck. The mountain is great, but it's not nearly as close, and I like the 'Get home at 6, be at Crotched for 6:30, ski for 2.5 hours' during the work week.

You grumpy bastard.:flag: We would love to have you. You get Loon out of the deal also. Buy early and ski there from March 23 on this year also. I would guess at least one of the Maine resorts would be open into May also.

Thought that was strange as well....but makes sense because they probably did not want too many people subsidizing only Mount Snow...so if they put the price up a bit more and force that market to buy the pass (which includes the blackouts AND the other resorts) that might help the other ski areas with revenue...

We are all spoiled by thee ASC. You think those fan guns are free? ha

This would make a 200$ increase in cost over two years. Last year they where also 100$ more, at least based on the increases in the single mountain passes.

No doubt Peaks has pumped some serious cash into the place. I just hardly got (what I consider to be) my moneys worth this year so far. More a case of my needs/desires evolving away from what Mt Snow does than anything else I suppose. The T2B opening was cool, but I actually enjoyed TNF only opening more - less herbs, more interesting terrain. Several powder days too many trails were groomed and the competetion for fresh tracks has intensified the last couple years. Also the good snow year means I spent more time at Magic.

I'm still considering it as an insurance against a bad snow year, it's just considerably more expensive insurance.

This would make a 200$ increase in cost over two years. Last year they where also 100$ more, at least based on the increases in the single mountain passes.

So I looked at what I spent last year for my family at Mount Snow and this year. Last year, I had to buy a full pass for one of my kids over the age of 6. This year, they introduced pricing for the less than 18 and less than 12 crowd. As such, my family of 4 (one still under 5) is only paying $100 more this year.

If I had more young kids, I'd actually be paying less than last year. If I had no kids, I'd be paying more.

So the value changes depending on your personal situation.

You on boyne's payroll yet? :-D
"Mayor of SR"?

Too far. House is at least another several thousand rental I'd imagine. Plus with the glut of condos theres always ski/stay deals to be had for a quick hit. But again, too far. If I'm driving that far I should be going to Jay.

Although carving with you and getting my butt kicked regularly by ga2ski is appealing. I even saw some vid of you in the woods

Ya that is the joke. I'm in the woods and bumps. Not the mayor,(see ya have been talking to the tall geeky tele guy) just a happy patron. Shares are less than that, but money is not the issue if the drive is. Be cool to see you anyway. Peaks and Boyne have done a great job to bring back the spark in the east. Props to both.

So you get to use both condo's next year.

I heard SR was using you in photo's so it would look like they got alot of snow.
