Spent the weekend at Mount Snow...first time out this winter, yeah I know....I'm not thrilled or proud about that fact either, but at least I finally got out.

I started off on Sundance area, groomers were a bit firm at 9am and then to headed over to Carinthia.

Which I have to say I've been snowboarding since before parks and pipes and I really don't like what they've done over there. I guess it's cool because it keeps all the bad ass snowboarders over there and off the rest of the mountain but I really used to like some of the terrain for cruising over there.

Anyway after a run of that crap we then went over to Canyon for a cruise down snowdance, back up Canyon quad to river run and then we basically spent the rest of the day on the North Face...Olympic, Olympic woods, fallen timbers, were all skiing/riding nicely as was chute, plummet, and the wall.

I was liking Plummet to The Wall, and Olympic to the lower half of Olympic woods probably my favorite run of the weekend.

Decided to do Ripcord at about 3pm...and subsequently needed a safety break thereafter.

We closed out Saturday by ducking the ropes on South Bowl and burned it down after the racers were gone...snow skied real fast over there. My snowboard was making vibration noises I've never heard it make before.

Spent the day Sunday back on the NF. Probably should have tried the rest of the mtn but was worried that it would be the $h!t show that Saturday was.

All in all Snow's a fun place, I've been going there since Sunbrook had three trails, had a house there and have been there enough to be a tour guide.

My only gripes are the lack of variety (as so many runs ski similar to each other) and how quickly it crowds out...feel like they could use an upper mountain lift for the main face.

But watching Bruce Jacques is always entertaining. Any one know how long has he been playing his Saturday gig there? it feels like 20 years.

How has the fact that the Glades are unmarked/off-map effected there conditions? As Mt Snow has never been my home mountain, I'm thinking I may miss-out on some of these areas. SkiShop Dave will be working at Mt. Snow next week(2/8-10) & says I could crash there..?

Woods still get skied. It's like they're there...but not as well marked. They haven't grown in or anything. In fact, I beleive they still work on them in the off season.

Tree skiing at Mt Snow is awesome. You have to ask around to find some of the goods, though.
