From the snow -report page!
"I know, I know. You saw yesterday’s camshot of Ski Patroller Joe blasting off a little cliff in The Plunge, about to splash into a foot of powder that has piled up over the last week, and you thought, “And Mount Snow’s closed!? Look at all the snow!” Then you heard rumors that we’re getting another snowstorm on Thursday, and you thought about writing a terse email to demand we reopen.
No need for the letter. The call JUST came down from Kelly’s secret Springtime bunker buried deep within the mountain – Mount Snow will be open for skiing and riding this weekend, April 14 & 15. So you can get that last turn on Deer Run, that final ride up the Challenger lift, that last attempt at a 360 on, 270 off the dragon rail in the Gulch.
Accuweather.com forecasts 4 – 8 inches of snowfall on Thursday. So… yeah.
Here’s the 411: regular weekend hours apply, with lifts running 8am – 4pm. Two lifts, the Grand Summit Express on the Main Face and the Challenger Triple on the North Face, will be spinning, offering summit access only. Based on the trails open on Sunday April 8 and the positive weather outlook, we’ll have 50 – 60 trails open. Elia and ‘da Groominators are delaying their flights to Miami another week so they can groom 30 or so trails, including our big players like Canyon, Standard, Deer Run, Long John, Lodge and Fallen Timbers. Ski and Snowboard rentals will be available. Although Deer Run and Long John will be open, please bear in mind that these are “Beginner” trails and not learning terrain. The Discovery Center and Perfect Turn will be closed. Un Blanco Gulch and Jiblet terrain parks will be open.
If’n’s you get hungry, the Grand Country Deli in the Grand Summit Hotel will be open, serving a full breakfast and lunch menu. Tony’s Pizza will be open in the Main Base Lodge for lunch. The Corner Café in the Main Base Lodge will be open for light fare (coffee, hot cocoa, muffins, etc.) for breakfast and lunch. The Summit Lodge will be open for restroom services only.
Reduced price lift ticket sales in effect: Full-day: $49 Adult; $45 Young Adult; $39 Junior/Senior. Half-day (on sale at noon): $39 Adult; $35 Young Adult; $25 Junior/Senior. Season passholders can bring a friend and get him or her a full day lift ticket for just $29. Just present your friend and say “this is my friend” (limit one per passholder).
2007-2008 season passes are now on sale. Now that we’re under new ownership (what up, Peak Resorts!), prices and benefits have changed, so check out the goods at mountsnow.com.
New snow. A solid base. Terrain parks. How could we not open?

If this is a sign of what the new owners are going to bring to the table, its going to be great to be a MS regular again!
