Yeah, season in and season out, Sunapee maintains some of the nicest bumps in New Hampshire. There's the steeper mogul field on Flying Goose, and the gentler bump field on that back bowl area. A nice area for bump skiers and aspiring bump skiers.

Great, thanks for the news. I may take a day off soon to catch some uncrowded mogul bashing or more likley, leg bashing.

So what about the details on this discount you're talking about. I can get a $ 15 discount on a ticket just for asking??

A buddy of mine was told last Thursday that he could get $15 off THIS week...

Will probably hit it at the end of the week. See how the week goes, weather-wise.

Bumps were very good, with some snow to fill in pretty well last Thursday. Definitely great "learning" bumps, as they aren't too steep, too big and have a groomed section along side to bail if need be.

Sunapee managers have even been known to dust the bumps with man-made in order to keep them nice, and I believe the freestyle team slips them pretty regularly to keep them from getting too rutted.

Last year around this time my sons and I went to Okemo (same ownership).

I anticipated using my discount available via my pass @ Wachusett (50% off @ Okemo, Sunapee, Shawnee and a few other places). My sons got discounted tix becuase it was the end of the season and Okemo was starting the program "that" day.

All in all, it was a pretty sweet and cheap day. Not sure if Sunapee is doing something similar or not. I don't recall Okemo's discount being advertised.

I think you get the $15 if you give out your address or email. I got $15 coupons a couple weeks ago and this past weekend.

Was there this past Sat 3/11. First run, moguls fields had crust on it, around 10:00 am, the sun warmed them up and really made them soft, turn to slush by noon. Could be my imagination, but it looks like the bumps got smaller compared to a month ago. However, it was still fun bashing into them and falling doesn't hurt so much. My legs are still sore from doing laps on them.

BTW, the moguls at goose bumps generally get expose to winds, so it can get fast. The bowl has better protection, the soft stuff has a better chance of staying in the troughs. The field at bonanza has good protection also, has the bumps spaced further apart, good place for beginners.

Keep it quiet about the place, don't want to let the word out

The field at bonanza is also smaller, which is good if you are just trying out bumps...I only wish that they were not right under the HSQ for all to see...

Hey, SkiDork. The idea is to take down the high spots and fill in the low spots, so you side slip through the moguls with that goal in mind. At times, you might step through the trough, packing the snow there rather than slipping it through. It's best if you have a big group of skiers who can all slip through the mogul field together. Otherwise, it takes a lot of time, and repeated runs, to get the job done. When you're finished, the tall moguls and deep troughs are gone and you're left with nice little bumps that are ready to be skied in again.

Ask for the 15 coupon they printed out 1000,s

Their right at the ticket window First Ask the teller "Is it low season?" then turn away and they will hand you one.

Here how it was March 11

It was a blue sky day but rather cold. The high Sun had softened the snow by noon

then the bump raiders softened them up and they got better and better as the day went by
