Been kind of slacking in the TR department lately so I figured I would throw this up.

Thread from T4T:

My pics and captions just copied and pasted from that thread:

Two very flattering pictures of the most beautiful skiers to ever grace Mt. Washington with their presence.

The two short video clips are still processing. I'll throw them up when they're down.

Such an awesome day!

snowpack pretty stable?

Was very stable for the most part. 4-6 of new snow on a bombproof base. The new snow would have just slid right of the icy snowpack but since it got very warm yesterday when the snow started (definitely above freezing) the new snow bonded with the base amazingly well. Combine this with no wind, and you have yourself very safe skiing in avi terrain.

Looks like a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing the stoke. I really need to get up there one of these days...

What kind of damage are you all doing to the alpine flora up there? Anything? I'm just asking, not judging.

Anthropogenic and natural disturbance regimes are my areas of interest as an ecologist. Thanks for the reply.

I think what roark is saying is that they are not doing any damage that nature does not do more of through its own means. What would be more concerning from your point of view is when the snow melts and lots of folks are up there walking around above tree line in alpine touring boots and occasionally miss a rock and step on some veg. Been there, done that. Try not to when possible. But skiing in the gullies mid-winter? Probably no damage being done at all, I would imagine.
