But you have to admit that purple lipstick would look lovely with the aforementioned and recently departed corn-rows!

Well, at least he finally lost the corn-row hairstyle.

Paul said:Good point about "Brandon" Arroyo, of course, most of the Sox's pitching has been close-your-eyes bad this year...

True, but ours don't try to beat up old men (although that ex-Sox is now a member of that other NY team).

maybe the old man shouldn't try and attack guys less than half his age...

Zimmer...the guy whose nickname is "The Gerbil"...attack?
Please. Throwing him on the ground was lame.

granted it is a 70-something year old guy, but when he breaks from the pack and makes direct route for Pedro, what is he supposed to do, run? He's certainly not going to hit Zimmer. Just toss him aside...
either way, the whole thing was comical - a 70-year-old guy charging at a professional athlete, and said athlete tossing the guy aside by his ears. You can't think this stuff up....
blacknblue said:Wait... which team had relievers picking fights with fans in the bullpen? and throwing punches at fans in right field?
kickstand said:slow down a minute, guys. The "fan" was an employee who was stationed in the Yankees bullpen and was openly routing for the Sox. When Nelson asked him to tone it down, he refused and things escalated. Things out of hand in there, and it was unprofessional of both the employee (his name escapes me) and Nelson. However, what Garcia did was uncalled for, and they have some great footage of him blatantly throwing punches, despite his denial.
that whole situation was a bit over the top
now, Chris House, out in right field, I wish Sheffield had clocked him. Talk radio the next day was very interesting, especially with his friends calling up to defend him. People will do that for you when you have 8 season tickets in a choice area. The only problem was, all the stories - his friends, his own and the people who sit near there - all contradicted each other.

What's even more interesting is that Chris's brother, Dennis, is the anchor for the 6 o'clock news here in Hartford.
Guess which station barely gave this story a mention?
You'll never hear me pick on any other team's fans because when it comes to being obnoxious, Yankees fans are the winners hands down.
Jaytrek57 said:BTW, ever notice that Yankees fans think they are "best/most" at everything...even being the most "obnoxious".
