Met up with Woodcore at 8 this morning for a ride out of Scoville. We had a nice long ride that ended right when the rain started to fall. The route was; North on Hinman>South on 69er>rest of cemetery twisties>fat kid climb>over to the kitchen bypass>down along 69 to cross at reservoir rd>back up to the 4 way via b-street>across the boy scout bridge back to the lot. Took us a bit under 3 hours. Woodcore was really hauling today, he dusted me on most sections.

The trails were in better shape then I would have imagined they'd be in considering all the rain, but were still pretty wet in places. I walked around a few spots on hinman due to mud. 69er was nice all the way through though. Ran into Nate from Crankfire and Mark at the end of the 69er who indicated that they ran into a water dept employee who said that they would be ticketing starting next month.

Had a nice couple of beers with woodcore post ride as the rain lightly started to come down.

I'm pretty beat now and ready for a nap.

Great riding with you today Brian!! Although the weather was a little humid for my liking it was bearable and the little bit of a breeze helped out immensely. So glad we got out early and got a lengthy ride in before the rain started.

I liked our route this morning, pretty much what I rode last night with the exception of the FKC>Kitchen Bypass loop regardless considering the crappy weather the last few days/weeks/months it actually rode fairly well with only a few areas that required a dismount.

I was little surprised when I downloaded the GPS data and saw that we only rode 9.6 miles. It seemed like we managed to log a bunch more, oh well!

Here's the the track info...........

I did feel pretty good on the bike today!! Regardless I have been noticing lately that I actually feel stronger and ride better with each consecutive day of riding and conversely suffer/struggle on rides after days off the bike. With that being said so wish the weather would cooperate so I could ride everyday because I would! I'm Hooked!!

Yes, it certainly was humid, it seemed like it was worse in the beginning of the ride, but it could have been that I just got used to it.

I also want to note that I continued my no granny ring challenge, even on the FKC where I made it just as far as I always do.

As a side note to this trip report, Brian and I ended up doing a bunch of TM clearing trees that had recently been blow down across the trails. The majority of these where up on the ridge crossing from the FKC over to the Bypass. In addition while riding up in that area noticed a ton of new (to me anyway) signs delineating the boundary between State Land and that of the NB Water Dept. I never new that the NB water company property extended this far....

Those markers have been in place since the spring when the rest of them were put up.
