We went to Mecca yesterday. JP. Spent the majority of thr day in the inbound woods and one accidental very long oob.
Everything IS packed pow and not particularly busy. Snow base is at least waist deep,a lot From last week. Snowed every day last week.
Rain and wind forecast probably scared off many making this
one of the slowest days. Longest lift wait was five mins.
Stowe is skiing sweet. The first half this week weather looks. Great. Get out there!

Has to be Jay...and MRG maybe after that. I ski these less so I'm not sure about snow quality but my guess is Jay's are a touch better if you factor that?

The best terrain in the Burnt Mountain expansion thus far is just east of Cant Dog from what I've skiied..and although they've opened it up, it's been skiable for years....It's definitley been a great addition to SL but let's not go too overboard. There's a reason SL proper was developed before Burnt......

Saddleback has some awesome glades...They're different. It's all spruce in the upper bowl which gives the glades a very unique feel. I prefer Saddleback's to Sugarloaf's Brackett simply due to the fact that Brackett/Burnt doesn't hold and/or get the same amount of snow so it's less reliable...Even during a scarce snow year, Saddleback's glades have been skiable most of the season....Burnt just opened last week. In terms of challenge and terrain they're comparable execpt Brackett's are shorter and the run out is long..Burnt might be about 600 vertical ft. whereas Saddleback about 1k.
