Enough with all the "Shred the Gnar" comments, people :-o
The ski area in CT I used to work at (RIP) used that as a slogan for their 3rd terrain park. So I laugh my ass off every time I hear it, since 95% of the folk find it funny for a completely different reason.

BTW, I always say I go riding... or boarding ... or on a powder day, goin to shred the pow pow.

And for those skiers who hate boarders for stopping in the middle of the trail, try practicing what you preach! Lately, it's been "National Skiers Act Like Boarders Day" on the slopes. Move over, so that shredders like me don't run into you.

whenever we can make it off the Island me and the boarding bro's go "skiing" even though I'm the only skier. Both of them will give directions such as "skiers-left/right" Sort of an all encompassing term I guess.:snow:

i think skiers hate snowboarders because they are jealous that we riders look so damn cool carving up the groomers and floating on TOP of the powder and not SINKING into the powder.

Brilliant. Simply brilliant.

Anyhow, back to the original question, it seems that the phrase skiing and riding is used quite a bit to acknowledge both in advertising. To me it's all skiing-it's just a matter of which toys you enjoy.
