My idea would be for a feeder resort (Wachusett, Pocono's, Ct) to team up with 1-4 bigger resorts in NNE or NY and try a funnel their local skiers to those resorts with financial insentives. I'm going to be real interested in how the NYS Big three goes this year. I know everyone says its a rip off for upstate skiers but Gore and Whiteface could gain from the NYC metro area.

I actually considered buying the pass but then thought about it and for 150$ more I can buy the NY state pass and use it at like 90% of all the places in NY state, I really conserding this for 13-14 season.

Here is a new one for NH.Cannon,Waterville,BW,and Cranmore.No thanks at $949
http://www.cannonmt.com/wmsp.html

Yeah, it doesn't work for me compared to NH resident pricing at Cannon ($588 ) But it's actually a pretty sweet deal for people who ski the area. Full price at those resorts:
Cannon = $799
WV = $799
BW = $899
Cranmore = $619

So, if you want to spread out at all, it's well worth it.

I will save the $150 and not ski the other three on my non-resident pass.
Can you adopt me so I can get the NH resident too?

The issue is that Eastern mountains make a significantly larger % of their revenue from ticket sales, compared to Western resorts which make their money off lodging and food. So any collective pass on the East Coast is going to be substantially more expensive than out West.

+1 and electricity costs for all the snowmaking in the east coast.

$599 this year.Did you buy it last year?I don't remember what I payed last May.On Cannon's website the $949 price for the Super was by last May.Its now $999.

Yeah, I got it in the spring. Although not early enough to get the best deal. I missed the free WV ticket.

Can you adopt me if Cannonball won't?

If I adopt you, you won't have anytime to ski. You'll be too busy mowing my lawn, shoveling my driveway, and taking the trash out like kids are meant to do.

I was just looking at this site:

then I had a dream - what if there were a New England Collective? Even if it cost $449 vs the $379 Mountain Collective charges?

This would be awesome but still just a dream! What resorts would make up your twelve days?

(this is not a real deal - sorry about double image copied wrong one and cannot remove) Obviously not in the World

You realize the whole point of the mountain collective is not to get a bunch of resorts within an hour or two of each other on a deal right? Kinda defeats the purpose as the mtn collective is really a lodging play on the resorts that take part.

Just saw on SAM that Killington/Pico and Sunapee/Okemo are doing a joint College/Grad Student Pass this season.

Posted on pg. 4 of the skiing on the cheap thread a few days ago.

edit: they are also offering a deal on 3 day or longer ticket purchases. Buy a three day or longer ticket at Okemo or Killington & you can ski the other resort for a day. I believe you can also ski either Sunapee or Pico but I don't think 3 day or longer purchase at Sunapee or Pico work because of the less expensive pricing.

$339 at Okemo and $359 at Sunapee until 8/31. This is the pass that I get my son every year.

It's $369 plus tax until Dec. 15. at Okemo or Killington, Sunapee is charging $391 since NH doesn't have a tax.

edit: with this pass you can also purchase up to 5 day tickets for your college buddies at a 50% discount off regular price.
