it often amazes me how little media the northeast gets. there are a lot of dedicated northeast only skiers/riders that are clamoring for media in all flavors about the northeast. unfortunately, the only advertizers willing to put up the money on a national level are places out west and gear companies won't bother with a regional magazine when they could have national exposure. it's terrible for the end user of the product, but media consumers in many ways can not help control content or direction of many forms of media such as newspapers and magazines unless a huge and dedicated base of media users can make demands enough for an advertizer to respond to.

Although I may be thinking of the one that rivercoil mentioned, the magazine seemed to give very generic descriptions aimed at tourists. It felt like they were right from the marketing departments of the respective mountains. That's not the kind of ski writing I want to see about the East.
