If they're back at Blue filming this season, AND you can get an AZ mention GSS, I think that might just be grounds for Greg to remotely consider a moderator status for you  ;) :flame:

Sweet...It would be awesome to be a moderator on here..:flag::snow:

One of the reasons Blue mountain was picked is because it has one of the highest average injury rates of any ski area. I attribute it to a variety of factors...lots of people who are out of shape and hardly ski, hard icy snow, large crowds..Some days it seems like there's a helicopter flying in and out of there everyday. I don't even know if I get Tru TV..it used to be court TV

I don't believe that MC only had one bad accident all last season. Blue has always been a shitshow..I usually ski there after work during the week and Saturday and Sunday mornings fro 7:30AM-11:00AM when it's mellow and the runs aren't so busy..but having a high speed quad and a high speed six back on the same side of the mountain makes for alot of people on the slopes. Conditions get beat quicker with all the capacity but if it's empty..it's the same as it ever was and if it's crowded...instead of 20 minute liftlines there are 5-6 minute liftlines due to the old challenge double becoming a six-pack with triple the uphill capacity. I used to leave early due to really long lines..now I leave early due to really crowded trails. I like to ski fast..and once there are 100 Tom Dick and Harrys on the run..it's not as fun..but it's the ultimate human slalom course. I once passed over 130 people on Lazy Mile in less than 2 minutes..

by serious i mean life threatning and that was a kid that broke his back on the stupid dumb booter. and thats the only airlift i know of. the rest are normal accidents(wrists, arms, and legs).

I was always giving them the bird and stuff so I'm pretty sure I won't be on it....lol
Then again just about EVERY single weekend last season I skied with GSS so who knows..
They were lame anyway... interviewing people in the liftlines and stuff... I was there to ski not to be on some tv show... There lens wasn't wide enough for me to be on there anyway..

GSS was on the blue promo video last season talking about smartstyle and switchback...lol

Anyone know when this is on? I searched around TruTV's website and there's no mention of it.

October 20th 8PM is the first episode..

Blue mountain rolled out the red carpet for the reality show camaramen during filming in early 2008..they're going to get hundred of thousands of dollars worth of free advertising..

Thanks! I'm not sure yet if watching the SP at my favorite local spot is going to hurt or help the jones factor.

Watching patrollers respond to season ending injurys is a real downer but watching them whistle at speeders on Paradise is funny

I'll buy the DVD if they got me!

I'll just tape it..I've seen myself skiing on video before but on TV would be sick..The guys who produced the show work for Bunim-Murray the same people who produce MTVs The Real World. I like reality TV alot so even if it didn't include Blue mountain the true mountain I'd watch it. I think I'm going to dress up as a ski patroller for Halloween for extra stoke. My uncle has a ski patrol jacket from his days at Jack Frost..and a matching fanny pack and steezy whistle..some chapstick..a pornstar moustache and a gaper grin and I'll be a true redcoast..

Show about skiing - good. Show specifically focused on the few accidents that happen (and not putting that into prespective) - not so good for skiing.

I think the injury rate is 1 per 500 skier/rider days..and that counts all injuries..not just season enders..like sprains and what not..I really feel like getting to the ski area via plane train or automobile is more dangerous than the actual skiing..

Terrain parks are a whole nother animal when it comes to injuries..I know there will be some footage of the Sidewinder Park at Blue mountain because I know somebody broke their back during a day of filming this last winter and they took them away in the medivac helicopter..the feature was closed off for about an hour and the Park Crue..raked the take-off and landing..I really hope the show talks about the Skiers Responsibility Code and Smartstyle..it's important!!!! I get whistled at for hauling ass down an empty slow skiing trail but there are people picnicing in the landings of the terrain park with no warning at all....Chikkady Check Yourself before your Wreck Yourself...
