I would think your best bets for solid fall hours on the seacoast would be wentworth by the sea or the Cliff House. Chef at the Cliff House is a ski bum who spends a good portion of his winter at Copper Mountain. I don't do business with him currently, but he knows me, so I probably could get an interview for you.

Haha that was on my radar. I actually worked there previously. There season is about perfect and I would feel pretty comfy walking in there mid season. Who is the current chef?

Wow, Wow. Good for him. I'm pretty sure this is the same Peter I that came on when I was the P.M. sous. He must have just worked his ass off over the course of time. He came on With Eric D., it was a weird time kind of.

I remember talking up skiing quite a bit with Peter.

yes, he has been there awhile. I know he left and went to Colorado for a bit and then came back. A couple of seasons ago they had a full on F&B Director, older head chef etc. Sounds like they scaled back management considerably and gave Pete the job. From the sounds of it, he has minimal help at all.

Young skinny dude. I'd be surprised if he's over the age of 30.

Except for the 7.5 feet of snow at Hunter:razz::razz:

That was end of Feb as was Killington's massive dump. Unfortunately, the snow gods left for most of the rest of the season... The Catskills actually did pretty well this past winter from what I remember. Lot more snowfall than normal. Hit Belleayre a couple times and the conditions were pretty good. Hope to do more riding in the Catskills next season. Haven't been there in a few years until this past season...

for quality culinary, there's always a job to be found on the seacoast even mid summer. lots of turnover for people there just looking to party. hours will be low at first, but once the owners of places realize you're better than the next guy and aren't going to miss shifts from being hungover or showing up drunk........good to go.
