Cool piece on a microcism of the local ski culture/history. I hope DeVivo can make the place into a "backcountry" area, in reality more akin to a MRG.
IMO, Mittersill suffers from the same problem as Cannon proper, it's exposed to the elements. This is where snowmaking will help but that may not be a given in the near future. And I think most of the diehards will have no problem running a cat down the main trails after the first signifcant snow dump so that a base can be establish for a longer season. Kind of surprise they didn't do that now and in past seasons.
