NiteRider Lumina Micro 220 Light

ONECOL.jpg

Not too long ago, LED lights had feet upon feet of cords and the batteries commandeered both water bottle cages. To boot, those behemoth batteries only lasted a few hours at best. NiteRider, Technical Lighting Systems, piloted smaller lights and batteries with the Mini-Newts, and it continues to dominate with the new Lumina series. The Lumina Micro 220 is its most compact light to date.
The Lumina Micro 220 is the latest and smallest light from NiteRider. The LED bulb and lithium-ion battery were encased in a sleek, weatherproof, and single-piece shell in order to avoid a mid-ride blackout. It features four solid light levels " high, medium, low, and walk, plus a flash mode that lets you adjust the brightness during your ride. Depending on your setting, the light will last around two hours at 350 lumens, four hours at 200 lumens, six hours at 125 lumens, and 21 hours at 30 lumens. Even better, it's easy to adjust on-the-fly.
Unlike headlights with cords, the Lumina 220 won't shake loose from its battery while traversing rough roads. A quick-release mount holds securely in any riding condition, and it accommodates bars up to 31.8mm in diameter. It's the perfect light for commuting and as a backup to a corded system for long hours of winter training.
The NiteRider Lumina Micro 220 Light comes with a USB charger. Charging it from your laptop takes about 3.5 hours. The entire assembly weighs in around 126 grams.
