Today At Mountain Creek Ongoing snowmaking combined with 2 natural storms has blanketed the resort with perfect snow for opening weekend at South. The season officially starts Saturday, 12/10 at 9:00 AM at Mountain Creek South (8:00 AM for you lucky season pass members out there!). HINT - don't wait until opening day to pick up your season pass - beat the lines - come during the week to get your pass. This weekend, we anticipate operating the Bear and South Quad lifts with the open trails on Bear Peak being Big Bear and Gorge Run to the South Base, and on South Peak, Canyon to Giant Steps to Hawk Highland to Tail Spin to the South Base. Check back regularly for updates.

I know its not much but for this NJ skiing family its pretty nice!! We are also expecting a significant snow on Friday which will further add to eagerly anticipated first turns on Saturday morning.

Season pass holders like us get to ski an hour earlier. Crowds could get CRAZY so I already informed my daughter we could be outta there before lunch!!

Hey at the very least maybe MC opening will help the Catskill resorts in giving the weekend crowds another option.

Hunter hasn't been all that crowded so far this year.. But the longer the NJ resorts stay closed the worse it gets..

Glad for you guys!! That part of NJ is really nice.
